About Bowenwork
Bowenwork is a therapeutic technique developed by Tom Bowen from Australia (1916- 1982). His unique method was based an approach of "resetting" the tension in dysfunctioning muscle groups, thus re-balancing the body from the inside out. The gentle Bowenwork "moves" are done with precision and deliberation.
How does it work?
The body has an innate ability to heal itself, if conditions are favorable. Bowenwork recognizes this principle and helps to reorganize the body's intrinsic systems to facilitate healing. There is a direct relationship between the structural framework of the body, the nervous system and internal organs. Bowenwork restores their functional integration by gentle moves that relax muscles, fascial tissue, and the nervous system.
What conditions can be helped by Bowenwork?
All bodies, all conditions can benefit from Bowenwork; there are no contra-indications. It is particularly useful in relieving muscular pains, and for postural realignment. It is excellent for fibromyalgic pain, neck and backaches. Sports and work related injuries respond quickly, allowing the client to resume activities sooner. Where there is swelling or congestion of tissue, Bowenwork activates the lymphatic system to improve drainage and function. Sinusitis, head colds and migraines respond well to the method. Bowenwork has a harmonizing and balancing effect on the nervous system; great for stress reduction and sleep disturbances. People of all ages can benefit from Bowenwork, from newborn infants to the elderly- enhancing the quality of everyone's life.

Monica Bradley, LMT
Monica Bradley is a Colorado native and grew up in the Denver area skiing and enjoying the Rocky Mountains. An ACL knee surgery at age 16 from a skiing accident left her with restricted range of motion and an interest for helping people recover from injuries. After studying massage therapy, she moved to Seattle and pursued further education in the field of bodywork. While studying the fascial system, she achieved full range of motion in her knee and was fascinated with the results. This sparked a passion in helping others accomplish better movement even after old injuries. Monica enjoys working with the fascial system to help people achieve goals of improved posture, increased mobility, decreased pain, better digestion and stress reduction. Modalities include massage therapy, intra-oral massage, Tensegrity Medicine, Bowenwork and massage cupping. Meigra Simon, LMTMeigra Simon is a Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in Bowenwork since 2004. Her 40 year career as a body therapist has brought her to this point where Bowenwork, a gentle, yet profoundly powerful modality, has become her primary focus. A wide variety of people seek out Bowenwork, often after much searching and experiences with other therapeutic choices. For some, the fact that Bowenwork doesn't require disrobing or using oil is an initial attraction. For others the non-intrusiveness and gentleness of the technique works well. Most are surprised by the power and effectiveness of Bowenwork. As one of Meigra's clients said, "Why aren't people shouting "Bowenwork" from the rooftops?" Luckily, more people are becoming familiar with the therapy and incorporating it into their health care.
In her practice, Meigra works with a wide variety of chronic pain issues, as well as seeing people with acute recent injuries and people looking to reconnect with life that may also be dealing with anxiety and depression. "I especially love working with people in "transition" or in a major life change. For example, being pregnant, moving through menopause, or simply into another phase of life." Meigra is an Advanced Bowenwork practitioner as well as a LMT, so if you have massage coverage on your health insurance plan, it is likely that sessions with her will be covered. Bowenwork's gentle approach is especially effective for injuries sustained in car accidents (with no charge to you). Cash prices are as follows: Individual session: $125 Package of three: $320 To find out more about Meigra, go to her personal website at www.meigrasimon.com.
